Module leader for: Deconstruction and Construction; Site and Audience; Research as Practice; Advanced Creative Enquiry; Major Project, including exhibition and external liaison; Student-led module; as well as dissertation supervision, Venice, Oxford and London study tours.
Recent research has included two main strands:
- Investigating the spatial, temporal and social aspects of various environments, exploring what Soja (2010) terms ‘real-and-imagined’ spaces. Tim Davies ’s practice involves navigating, intervening in, observing and responding to sites and representations of sites, by which means he attempts to understand how they are perceived, experienced and negotiated, recognising de Certeau’s theory (2002) that ‘space is a practised place’.
- Exploring which media is the most pertinent to the realisation in the presentation of the conceptual impulse behind the work.
