Our response to COVID-19

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we fully supported all students living in student accommodation.

We continued to provide an excellent service for students from maintaining their post and parcel services, to dealing with maintenance and pastoral issues – the Operations Team were there!

We supported all self-isolating students in Halls; we kept in touch, arranged food parcels, and made sure they had everything they needed during their isolation time.

We provided cleaning packs on arrival and for students who wanted to opt-in, we ensured that one of our team members maintained regular contact through phone calls or emails.

Our Site Operatives ensured the safety of all students living in the halls, visiting flats on a weekly basis, and raising issues or concerns to the necessary team members. This team is full of friendly helpful people who really know how to make students feel at home.

Rent rebates were issued to those students who remained at home during the lockdown periods. We helped in getting items they left but needed from their rooms.  In addition, when they returned, we supported them to return safely by ensuring they had access to testing and we kept them up to date on the local vaccination offers.

UWTSD accommodation is a home from home and students who stay with us get more than just a bedroom.
